Connecting Port 3 to a Router

I have a starthub 2 Gbps Connection . Port 1 of the ONT Modem is connected to the starhub Linksys  router and is doing natting with 10.30.1.0 internal network. When i connect my laptop directly to port 3 it gets ip as well. I want to connect the router to port 3 so that it can do a Nat of the same network range as the first on ie 10.30.1.0 but it fails here . My Goal is to have one network and still utilise both port. Any other solution is most welcome too. This is roughly what i want.

ONT    | (Port 1)-----> Linksys (DHCP (10.30.1.10 - 10.30.1.100)

            |

            | (Port 3) -------> My Own router (DHCP (10.30.1.101-10.30.1.200)

Further to the post when i connect starhub router to port 1 or 3 it works without any problem. Does not mean direct ONT is not enabled for my port 3 ? cannot figure out the reson.

Hi @user_170e9f,  for the 2 Gbps Service, each port will be assigned a single IP address. For your second question, port 1 and 3 can be connected to any router.
