Starhub is Un ethical

I have been a Starhub customer for over 12 years and I can not believe they are being allowed to get away with their behavior.

The removed the FOX channels and they are telling me that in any case I cannot get my Subscription reduced. They are telling me I MUST upgrade however during I MUST RECONTRACT and have penalties if I leave early!

I Suggested and option of a simple monthly contract and they said that can not be done!

IS there ANY government body looking at how they are treating consumers

We understand where you're coming from, @msarvua. It is not our intention to make you feel that way. We always try to make it up to our customers by providing the best set of entertainment service despite the Fox Network channels' cessation. Please know that we are doing our best to keep the channels, shows, and movies beloved by our customers. It just so happens that StarHub and Fox didn't reach an agreement to keep the partnership alive.

 

On a side note, we will be dishing out offers based on your eligibility. Once it's available, we will reach out progressively to our valued StarHub subscribers like you. We seek your patience and understanding on this matter. Thank you.

Why not just reduce my Subscription in lieu of reduced services its simple. Allow me drop a package as its of no value - Simple

Unfortunately, as you have been previously informed by my colleagues there will be no price reduction on the existing subscription.

It is clear that you cannot please everyone. But this is not just a business, but responsibility for consumers, their satisfaction with the product, as well as for the values that the company communicates. I recently read some very good material at https://studyhippo.com/essays-on/ethics/ which is related to the topic under discussion. Namely, it is about business ethics, the essays were about communication both within the company and outside it, that is, with clients. Many companies should pay more attention to this because for the consumer it is extremely important!
