Recontract for Tv

Hi,

 

my fibre tv contract is expiring. Can you help to clarify your current offering of tv services? The information on your website is confusing. 

1) are you only offering StarHub tv+ now and it’s an application that can be installed on android or ios devices? 

2) is there any StarHub shop where I can see how the interface of the new StarHub tv look like? How to navigate? I have concern if my old parents know how to use. 

3) can I watch local channels like channel 8 and channel u after subscribing to your services? 

4) there is two month trial for new sign up. If I terminate my current fibre tv after end of contract, can I sign up for the free trial for my parents to experience it?

Hi @naruto99007, warmest welcome to GreenR Community! Thank you for your interest to our all-new StarHub TV+. 

 

1. StarHub TV+ is a new singular service and price plan enabled by the convergence of
the current IPTV (Fibre TV) and StarHub Go on a single hybrid platform. Moreover, you do not need to be a StarHub Fibre Broadband customer to enjoy StarHub TV+ Pass as it's designed to work with any Internet connection regardless of the internet service provider.

 

2. Let me get back to you on this one as I need to confirm first if there are any StarHub shops that you can see the new StarHub TV+.  

 

3. To watch Free-to-Air Channels such as Channel 8 and Channel U, you will need to subscribe to either a StarHub Fibre Broadband (under the same billing account and service address) with a compatible router and rent a StarHub TV+ box or upgrade to HomeHub+ bundle.

 

4. The TV+ Pass 2 months Trial is for new customers.

3, Do you have photos or videos of how the interface of the StarHub tv+ look like? Also can the interface be changed to Chinese? 

4, if I terminate my StarHub tv and sign up again one week later, would I be considered as new customer for the trial?

You may refer here and go to "Viewing and Set-Top Box Features" section to see screenshots of the interface of StarHub TV+. You can set your preferred language here, given that you're signed in to your account. The info will be displayed in your preferred language if the content supports it. You may also toggle multi-language audio or subtitles via StarHub TV+ Box.

 

Yes, you can do so and sign up for the trial one week later.

We regret to inform you, but currently we don’t have any demos for the StarHub TV+, though you can download the app for your mobile device. The UI is the same for all whether watching via TV, laptop or mobile.

To terminate the tv service, what do I need to return to the StarHub shop?

Hi @naruto99007, we're sorry to hear about your decision to discontinue your TV service. To terminate the service, you will need to go down to any of the StarHub Main Shops at Plaza Singapura, Jurong Point, Nex and Tampines to return your TV equipment which includes:

  • Fibre TV Set-Top Box
  • Power Code/Adapter for Set-Top Box
  • Remote control
